Baked Walnut Fudge a la 4th of May

Note: This should be gooey on bottom and we usually serve it upside down and the plate so the crust is on the bottom and the gooey is on top. - Flo Anderson

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 each eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened

Combine ingredients and beat until blended. Pour into a 9 inch square pan. Set pan into a larger pan and pour hot water into larger pan so that it comes up the sides by 1 inch. Place pans into 350 degree oven. bake for 1 hour. Serve warm with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Serves 12.
