Fussbudget is a three piece band that leisurely resides in Brunswick, Ga, a
small, easily overlooked
seaport town on the outskirts of the more recognizable Jacksonville, Fl.
This intrepid and uncanny
band consists of the following.
Brandon Herron: vocals, guitar
Chad Kesegi: bass, backing vocals
Henry Hart: drums, backing vocals
Fussbudget's origins took root in late fall of 97 with Chad and Brandon
rehearsing and rehashing
songs from such inspirations as the Bauhaus and the Descendents. The two
aspiring musicians used
this intricate web of eclectic influences to breathe life into what would
later become Fussbudget.
Struggling through a list of hopelessly untalented or undedicated drummers,
mild-mannered local
guitar player, Henry Hart, lifted the fog of frustration by becoming the
official full-time drummer for
the band. The first actual practice of the trio was in the studio during the
recording session for the
original demo version of "Angel Wings". (The final version of the song can
be heard on the "When
Machines Breathe..." EP).
The band has since been playing locally and enjoying the hell out of it, as
well as recording material
for the new six song EP, "When Machines Breathe...", (due for release in
early 1999)
Brandon Herron: vocals, guitar
Brandon's guitar riffs derive from a rich mixture of eerie underground
styles and experimental
tones that are drawn to the surface by fleshy angst ridden punk rock. To
further your knowledge,
Brandon has a short-wave radio implanted in the crown of his molar so that
he may
communicate with the CIA upon receiving information that we are not at
liberty to divulge.
Chad Kesegi: bass, backing vocals
Chad's bass playing consists of crisp, intelligent walking basslines while
still maintaining a true
sincerity and a raw emotional appeal. Chad once shocked himself while
sticking his tongue in a
lamp socket because he believed copper tastes good. He continues to insist
that it does, usually followed by uncontrollable flatulence, undeniably a
horrible aftereffect of this unfortunate mishap. Those kids'll never learn.
Henry Hart: drums, backing vocals
Henry Hart was discovered on an unpopulated south pacific island where
alligator eggs provided
him sustenance, and breathtaking sunsets were guaranteed daily. Much of his
leisure time, which basically encompassed much of his day chasing small
primates while beating them with a set of drumsticks that washed ashore one
fateful day (Well, living on a deserted island doesn't actually offer many
viable alternatives now, does it?). Putting his Polynesian days
behind him, he has since traded his hand-crafted animal skin drums for those
of more
professional caliber. He is still known, however, to set the living room
sofa ablaze so that he
may make his sacrifice to the mighty tiki gods.
