Ghostly Footsteps in the Lighthouse
If you venture near the lighthouse after closing, when all is quiet, and you listen closely, you may hear footsteps on the iron steps that wind their way to the top of the 104 foot tower. The former lighthouse keeper, Frederick Osborne, was killed by an assistant 120 years ago in a duel on the lawn of the lighthouse. The sound of the footsteps allegedly belong to the late Mr. Osborne.
