N. H. Ballard

Heir to James C. Bagley (deceased prior to 1855), N.H. Ballard was "an important figure in the County.(2)" Pastmaster of Ocean Lodge #214 F.&A.M. Brunswick, Georgia from 1904-1907, and from 1909-1910. He was paid just under a dollar per student as Superintendent of Brunswick School System in 1907 - the enrollment was 2,460 students(3). In 1914, when Brunswick, Georgia's population was on 10,182, Ballard was Secretary of the Brunswick, Glynn County Board of Education as well City Superintendent (1).
